Alternative Interactive Experience

Physical computing drove this strange looking project named Totally Normal Photo Booth. This real photo booth featured as a public attraction at the yearly Whaaat?! Festival in the CU Boulder ATLAS Institute. The idea involved alternative interaction with the creepiest camera taking process, staring into a strange set of robotic eyes. Physical computing allowed for the eyes to track a given user with photo instructions vocalized by the head with fully automated jaw and eye movements. A photo is snapped by the head in the booth, but only if the user blinks. This made for a very uncomfortable, but fun festival ice breaker.
